Tatiana Baganova, hailing from the Ural Mountains, brings
Maple Garden (1999), a fantastical ballet with dreamlike sequences that sometimes turn into nightmares, and her sand-swept Sepia (2010) to The Joyce. It’s fitting that her company,
Provincial Dances Theatre, is part of American Dance Festival’s first New York season, since her choreographic ability
was nurtured at ADF. Titled ADF Presents, the week is shared
with Rosie Herrera, the Miami-based choreographer whose
company returns to The Joyce with her zany Various Stages of
